The midsole is made of Nike's React foam material, which, along with Air Zoom units under the heel and forefoot, provides the runner with a springy and responsive feel. The upper has been upgraded since the last model to reduce the shoe's weight, but is built on the same last as the Air Zoom Pegasus 40. The outsole is designed in the characteristic waffle construction, which gives the shoe a good grip in all kinds of weather and terrain.
